Cumulus (temp)

Named after the beautiful instrumental "Cumulus" by Imogen Heap which I listened to a lot while creating this

My first art of 2012? D: -hides-

I have a LOT to say about this, and I probably won't remember it all!
Firstly, I have never spent so long and paid such attention to detail to any one piece of my art as I have to this. Not only that, but this was the most fun I've ever had making art!

This is a self portrait which was the final assignment for my art class. I'm turning it in tomorrow (which is why I'm still awake at 3 am, finishing this art...) so wish me luck on my grade.

I used mostly charcoal, but also watercolor, colored pencils, pen, marker, and pencil, all on watercolor paper.
Reference of myself used.
This took MANY MANY hours but I don't know exactly how many.

I'm still not 100 percent happy with it, and I might mess with it a bit after I get it back from my art teacher.

Also for the first time I had to use a camera to upload this, rather than a scanner because the paper is REALLY big. So I think it looks a little crooked and I tried to edit that but I don't think I completely made it okay.
The details are kind of a bit lost in the picture, but this was the best picture I could manage to get.

So... I can't remember what else I had to say about this. There is a bit of meaning behind it, but not as much as I feel there should be.
